Our Falcon Chicks Have Names!

On Friday, Racine County hosted its annual peregrine falcon banding ceremony - a spring tradition that supports statewide conservation efforts.  This year, three falcon chicks were safely banded and named in honor of individuals who made a lasting impact on our community.

Bucky - Named in memory of County Executive Jonathan Delagrave, a dedicated public servant and proud Wisconsin Badgers fan.

Uecker - Honoring Bob Uecker, the legendary voice of the Milwaukee Brewers and a beloved Wisconsin icon.

Rooney - In honor of Jim Rooney, former Racine County Public Works Director and Highway Commissioner, who helped transform Racine's lakefront and led major waterway and harbor improvements across the county and state.
