The Operations Division of the Racine County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to ensuring public safety throughout the county.  This division comprises three key units:  Patrol, Investigations, and the Metro Drug Unit; each playing a vital role in maintaining law and order. 

Patrol Unit

The Patrol Unit serves as the front line of law enforcement, working tirelessly to enhance the quality of life in Racine County.  Deputies provide a high level of public service through enforcement, crime prevention, education, and community policing efforts.  In collaboration with local communities, government agencies, and schools, this unit fosters strong relationships that help create safer neighborhoods while pro-actively addressing public safety concerns.

Investigative Bureau

The Investigative Bureau specializes in handling complex, time-consuming or highly specialized criminal cases that extend beyond the scope of routine patrol investigations.  Detectives within this bureau are trained to conduct thorough inquiries into serious offenses, applying advanced investigative techniques to identify suspects, gather evidence, and build cases for prosecution.  Their work is critical in bringing justice to victims and ensuring accountability for criminal activities within Racine County.  

Metro Drug Unit

The Racine County Metro Drug Unit is committed to combatting drug-related crimes, with a primary focus on disrupting drug distribution and production within the community.  In addition to enforcement efforts, the unit plays a crucial role in collecting, processing and disseminating drug intelligence, helping law enforcement agencies anticipate and address emerging threats.  The Metro Drug unit also collaborates with local, state and federal agencies to coordinate broader drug enforcement initiatives.  Beyond enforcement, the unit actively engages in community education, raising awareness about current drug-related dangers and prevention strategies.
