The Racine County Sheriff’s Office is the chief law enforcement agency in Racine County. Our agency has full law enforcement authority throughout the county, including all the towns, villages, and cities, as well as the waters of Lake Michigan.

The Sheriff’s Office is also responsible for the operation of the Racine County Jail.  The jail’s rated capacity of 876 persons makes it one of the largest in the state.  

The professional staff of our agency remains dedicated to our mission of providing the core services that help maintain public safety, peace, and order in Racine County. We also remain committed to utilizing our resources in the most efficient and responsible manner possible. Our citizens expect these things, and deserve them.
