Child Care Assistance

Access to quality child care is essential for working families. Racine County supports parents through Wisconsin Shares, a child care subsidy program that helps families afford care, and 4C For Children, a resource to help families find trusted child care providers.

Wisconsin Shares Child Care Subsidy

Wisconsin Shares is a state-funded program that helps eligible low-income families pay for child care so parents can work or attend school. The program ensures that children receive safe, high-quality care while their parents focus on employment or education.

Parents can use Wisconsin Shares benefits at licensed or certified child care providers who meet program requirements.

To learn more about Wisconsin Shares, visit the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.

4C For Children – Child Care Resource & Referral

4C For Children helps families find trusted child care providers and offers referrals, training, and resources for parents and child care providers. Families seeking child care referrals can contact 4C For Children for personalized support in finding quality child care that meets their needs.
