Community Support Program (CSP)
Racine County’s Community Support Program (CSP) provides intensive, community-based mental health services for adults living with serious and persistent mental illness. CSP is designed to support individuals who may need a higher level of care than outpatient therapy can provide, while still allowing them to live independently in the community.
CSP uses a team-based approach that includes psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, case managers, and peer specialists. The team works closely with each individual to develop a personalized care plan that promotes recovery, stability, and overall well-being.
Services through CSP may include:
- Medication management and psychiatric care
- Individual and group therapy
- Support with daily living skills (such as budgeting, hygiene, cooking, or housing)
- Crisis prevention and response
- Assistance with benefits, transportation, and medical care
- Connection to community resources and peer support
CSP aims to reduce hospitalizations, promote independence, and improve quality of life by offering care in the person’s home or other community settings.
Eligibility is based on diagnosis, functional needs, and recommendation by a licensed mental health professional.
