The Finance Department-Purchasing Division serves as the principal value saver and negotiator for the procurement of most goods, services and equipment obtained for Racine County departments. In addition, the Purchasing Division writes, edits and evaluates bid specifications; sets up demonstrations for County staff to meet vendors and evaluate products; and reinforces the concept of centralized practices and procedures for making purchases and disposing of surplus items in accordance with the Racine County's Procurement Ordinance, Chapter 7, Article VIII - Purchases and Contracts. NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids will be received in the Office of the Racine County Superintendent of Buildings & Facilities Management 730 Wisconsin Avenue Racine WI 53403 ; until 11:00 a.m. CST Friday December 13, 2019 for Project RC20-5001BF Racine County Law Enforcement Center Chiller Replacement Project. Immediately thereafter all bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.
THE PROJECT consists of all necessary trades work to provide supervision, labor, and materials to replace 3 air cooled HVAC chillers plus any other necessary work at the Racine County Law Enforcement Center 717 Wisconsin Avenue Racine Wisconsin 53403 as defined in the specifications and plans.
BID DOCUMENTS are on file, available for inspection and may be viewed at the Office of the Superintendent of Buildings and Facilities Management Division 730 Wisconsin Avenue Racine Wisconsin 53403. All bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Racine County Public Works & Development Services Department. No electronically submitted proposals shall be accepted.
A certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the bid, payable to the Racine County, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file a contract and furnish a performance and payment bond for the full amount of the contract.
